The Jack Daniels Motor Inn sits in the heart of winter activity in the Monadnock Region and beyond. There’s something for everyone to do no matter your level of experience, providing tons of winter fun all season.
Skiing is a seasonal staple in New England. With several different areas surrounding Peterborough, there’s something for all types of skiers.
Ready to whoosh downhill? Crotched Mountain Ski is located 20 minutes away from the Jack Daniels, and provides a nice variety of trails, short life lines, and even a terrain park. Home to Midnight Madness, skiers can enjoy the slopes even after the sun has set.
Pat’s Peak is another nearby downhill mountain with loads of fun that also has snow tubing. Head over on Mascot Day on the last Sunday of January for fun photos and a dance off while you ski.
A little drive from the area brings you to Mount Sunapee for more downhill skiing fun. Weekly specials and events such as Ladies Day and Wednesday discounts add to the enjoyment of a day on the slopes.
You can also jump on trails like Edward MacDowell Dam, the Monadnock Rail Trail, and Cranberry Meadow Pond for self guided cross-country and snowshoeing at your own pace.
If you’ve ever wanted to cross-country ski on accredited trails, head over to Dublin School’s Nordic Center Trails and enjoy well groomed, open to the public ski trails just ten minutes from the Jack Daniels Inn.
Treating your self to great dining downtown and a cozy room at the Jack Daniels complete the picture for your winter fun in the Monadnock region. Call us today to schedule your New England winter excursion, or check out our availability online here. We hope to see you soon!
