Summer evenings filled with live music, plays and movies have always been a favorite pastime. While current events make some of that much harder, a lot of local venues and groups have adapted in ways that will still bring you those fun moments this summer. We’ve scoped out some great events you can catch online and even outside. As at the inn, we encourage the use of masks and social distancing at any non-online event!
Friday evenings from now until August, Music in Depot Park has live performances right against the Nubanusit & Contoocook rivers. A fun and unique experience, you can head over early and bring a blanket to sit out on the grass with or grab a bite to eat at a local restaurant to have while the band plays!
Peterborough Players has always been a favorite summertime experience. While their summer season is understandably canceled, the Players will be putting on a digital Cabaret July 29th – August 1st. Check out their Facebook Page and Youtube Channel to experience this limited time show.
Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music has been putting together virtual summer concert series on Tuesdays throughout the summer, all for free. Throughout the summer, Electric Earth Concerts will be hosting online pop up video casts with musicians and their artistic directors to enjoy on their website. Head over to their site and check out their next pop up, and enjoy their Youtube videos in the meantime!
On August 3rd, tune into Peterborough Folk Music Society’s website, Facebook and Zoom for Don White to perform live online. This show is also interactive – both audience and Don will be able to hear laughter and applause live as well!
