Happy Earth Month! Every year we celebrate sustainability and care for our planet in April. Earth Day falls on April 22nd, where people are encouraged to lower their impact with less energy use.
To commemorate Earth Month, we at the Jack Daniels Inn wanted to share some of our efforts toward our own sustainability. We believe that taking care of the environment is not only an important thing to do as an individual, but also as a business. It gives us the ability to pass on these benefits to our guests by supplying them with things such as eco-friendly toiletries in the room, ample places for recycling, and lowering waste overall.
So what does the next year spell for us? Well, we will not only be upholding our current standards of green sustainability, we’ve already started working towards lowering our carbon footprint even further. Working on these aspects means we can pass on its benefits to our guests, and enhance the stay with us!
Already making headway this year, Tripadvisor GreenLeader Program awarded us as a Bronze Status GreenLeader. This is amazing news, and we are so happy to receive it. We plan on getting that silver next year, and have already undergone ways to achieve it. On top of this amazing award, the New Hampshire Green Hospitality Program has also awarded us with our Silver (soon to be Gold!) Certification! This is GREAT news for us, and we are so thankful to the folks down at the NH Dept. of Environmental Services for this award and for being a great resource for us and other hotels in the area.
